Papaya was tasked to launch MANIAX axe throwing battlegrounds in Sydney’s Inner West. This was the largest of its kind, a 350-person axe throwing utopia and Viking-esque themed bar. As the venue had the benefit of size and an epic Viking themed fit out this made for an awesome, visual media opportunity.

The campaign received 25 pieces of high impact coverage in publications including, Thrillist, Broadsheet, Time Out and The Urban List. The campaign reached a readership circulation of 7,051,217 people!

How we got there

Papaya took on a two phased media approach for the launch of MANIAX with phase one structured around the prelaunch, the goal was to gain as much media attention as possible for the grand opening of the new venue.

The PR campaign for both phases generated over 40 pieces of coverage in publications including, Thrillist, Broadsheet, Time Out, The Urban List, Concrete Playground, Eat Drink Play and Man Of Many.
