Papaya managed the launch of a new product range, Perfectly Balanced, in partnership with us. The range features Aussie favourites like chipolatas, meatballs and skewers infused with nutritious vegetables such as sweet potato and carrot. Papaya brought the product to life through recipe research, a stunning recipe shoot and PR campaign. The professional team pulled off studio quality & styled imagery within a short time frame at extremely good value. We are delighted with the natural imagery and weeknight friendly recipes which look great in media and across our social media channels.
Papaya was selected from 9 agencies to lead our marketing. Our needs covered everything from design, to a new website, to B2B direct engagement, PR and social media prowess. With a fantastic skill set from a boutique team, they established a 3 year program that has so far seen everyone from Alan Jones to hatted restaurants calling to “Ask For Aussie Barra” just after a year in. The team connected with some of Sydney’s most influential chefs, wrote, shot and produced a digital recipe book. In just a few months this has been downloaded over a thousand times. In fact, the results of the campaign were so strong, we went on to win an award for the program. Papaya was engaged to initially support in the launch of one of our new liqueurs ‘Manly Spirits Blackfin Coffee Liqueur’ and they achieved outstanding results for us right from the word ‘go’. Papaya worked with our marketing team to create a highly successful Espresso Martini Festival which sold out in less than 48hours and secured 10+ top publications including Broadsheet and Concrete Playground. Alongside the event, they also executed an impactful social media strategy with an increase of 184% impressions. After the success of the launch we continued using their social media marketing services which we saw great ongoing results with increase in engagement, traffic to our website and an increase in followers MOM. The marketing campaign Papaya ran for the Rose of Australia’s new restaurant, Howard’s, was so successful it won the NSW 2017 Australian Hotels Association Award for Best Social Media Activity. More than that, Papaya’s approach generates real business results with hundreds of function enquiries and a sharp increase in revenue resulting from our partnership with the team. Papaya secured us coverage in Good Food, Daily Telegraph, Broadsheet, Concrete Playground, Urban List and much more. They built a beautiful functional website that’s fully mobile compatible and continue to design posters and artwork that reflect the personality of our venue. With no other proactive marketing, we can only put down the significant increase in revenue over this time to their hard work and expertise.
We worked with Papaya on the launch of El Topo Cantina in Southwest Sydney. At short notice, I was incredibly impressed how the team pulled together a successful launch campaign across social media and PR. In a few short months, we had over 1,000 locals on our social media channels, plus articles in Broadsheet, Concrete Playground, Daily Telegraph and Urban List. They also built a database of over 100 local community groups and businesses which resulted in a launch event so successful we ran out food in the venue (a good problem to have!) They managed to secure an extremely valuable cooking segment on Channel 7 to promote our day of the dead party and the venue has been listed as one of the top Mexican restaurants in Sydney!
