Restaurant marketing

There are few things that go better together than a breathtaking view and delicious food. With a stunning view of The Spit and authentic Italian recipes passed down through generations at Cala Luna, it was love at first bite for the Papaya PR team.

After suffering from a fire that shut them down for several months, a creative and strategic restaurant marketing plan was crafted by Papaya PR to relaunch and revitalise Cala Luna in the New South Wales foodie scene.

Through a targeted restaurant marketing and social media plan, Papaya PR leveraged key media relations to run a successful campaign that resulted in:

  • A cooking segment on Sunrise in the lead up to Christmas
  • Features in the Daily Telegraph, Sydney Morning Herald, Urban List and Qantas
  • A feature on a list as one of the top places to spend Christmas Day
  • A blogger and Instagram influencer program that saw social media coverage from major influencers such as Not Quite Nigella and 2 Hungry guys among others

After just two months, Cala Luna’s social media presence grew to over 1,000 and the restaurant successfully re-entered the foodie scene as a top fine-dining Italian restaurant.
